Scott's C&D Letter

At an estimated $400.00 per hour, we have no idea exactly how much this letter cost YOU, the members of STARFLEET.

The total monies spent to date on legal fees now stands at $9,407.00, which is about 1/5th of our yearly operating budget. You can also find other documents from the attorney to the Commander, STARFLEET on this site.

Ask yourself, is this what your membership dollars should be spent on?

Another Month, another C&D Letter
Here is a similar letter from Sal Lizard to Dave Lowe who runs an op-ed blog called STARFLEETFAIL.COM

FLEETWATCH has learned that this letter cost YOU, the STARFLEET member, $330.00 while the attorney "investigated" the site to see if Mr. Lowe could be held liable.

Is this what you pay your dues for?

No, that was the "Threats to STARFLEET" letter that cost $900.00 that was mailed first class to each member of STARFLEET.

for that matter, has the Financial Records showed that Sal *has* started repaying 'fleet for his 'the sky is falling' letter that was reprinted in its entirely in the next CQ?

or will that be "overlooked" because Santa can do no wrong? *gags*
